Holland
Just hours from major metropolitan areas, but a world away from the hustle and bustle, Holland offers a quality of life not found in many other places. This diverse, all-American college town is located on the scenic shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa, offering white-sand beaches, parks, outdoor sculptures, miles of hiking and biking trails, and a historic downtown. Here you'll find an eclectic mix of retail shops, boutiques, restaurants, and craft-brew pubs housed in restored Victorian-era buildings, and a downtown snow-melt system that keeps sidewalks and roadways snow-free during the winter months. Because Holland's founding families recognized the importance of education, the city is home to Hope College, a four-year liberal arts school known for its superior academic, arts, and sports programs. The community's understanding of the importance of academics is evident in the area's excellent public K-12 school systems, as well as in private and charter schools.
Zeeland
Zeeland shows pride in its historic background and its strong religious heritage. The strong work ethic is still evident in the quality work force in the area, and pride is apparent in the upkeep of homes and businesses. Zeeland’s location provides wide recreational opportunities with easy access to nearby lakes, streams, cross country skiing, biking and hiking. It is only 6.7 miles away from Holland and their beautiful shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa. The city boasts a charming and convenient downtown area which forms the heart of the community with activities, parades and promotions of all sorts. Take a look at flourishing innovation, from home-grown flower shops to Fortune 500 companies and an award winning school district.
